THE CHALLENGE TROPHY FOR THE SOUTHEAST ASIAN YOUTH AL-QURAN READING COMPETITION

The Challenge Trophy for the Southeast Asian Youth Al-Quran Reading Competition, graciously presented by
His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni
Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien,
The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.


The trophy in the form of Al-Quran is made of crystal and stands on a local ‘meraka’ wooden structure.

The shape of the two hands is inspired by the shape of ‘kimhap’ or ‘tongkat ajai’.

The shape of the two hands symbolizes the commitment of youths
in the reading and understanding of the contents and teachings of the Holy Al-Quran.
